1. Who we are and scope of this policy
Dearshot acts as the controller of the account, collaboration, and service metadata processed to provide the product. This policy applies to the public website, the app, and shared albums to the extent Dearshot determines how personal data is handled.
2. Account and profile data
When you sign in or use Dearshot, we may process your name, email address, Google account identifier, profile image, language preferences, and other account details made available through Google Sign-In.
3. Album and service metadata
To operate Dearshot, we may process album names, descriptions, timestamps, cover selections, collaboration roles, invitations, moment metadata, and technical logs related to support, reliability, and security.
4. Google authentication and Google Drive access
Dearshot uses Google Sign-In for authentication and may request Google Drive permissions so it can create, organize, and manage the dedicated Dearshot folder in your Drive. We request only the access reasonably necessary to provide Dearshot features.
5. How we use information
We use account information and service metadata to authenticate your session, connect Google Drive, organize albums and moments, apply sharing permissions, respond to support requests, maintain security, and improve the reliability of the service.
6. Storage and permissions
Your photos and videos are stored in your own Google Drive account. Dearshot stores only the metadata needed to operate albums, sharing, and the product experience. Access to content depends on the sharing permissions you configure in Dearshot and in Google Drive.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep account and service metadata only for as long as it is needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect the security and integrity of Dearshot. You may revoke Dearshot access from your Google account or ask us to delete account-related data.
8. Security
Dearshot uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect sessions, metadata, and service operations. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability.
9. Your rights and controls
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your account data. You also control the permissions granted to Dearshot from your Google account and Google Drive settings.
10. Contact and updates
For privacy questions, data requests, or notices related to this policy, contact support@dearshot.com. We may update this policy from time to time to reflect product, legal, or security changes.
